Rutland is the city with the best schools for your children

Rutland in the East Midlands is the best region to move to for good schools, a study by Oxford Home Schooling revealed.

Despite 95% of Rutland schools scoring high from Ofsted, more than a third (34%) of available student spots were not filled last year. With the second-lowest crime rate in the country, with just 41 incidents per 1,000 people, it is also an incredibly safe place to live.

Other important areas are Cumbria in the northwest, Herefordshire in the West Midlands, and Stockton-On-Tees in the northeast.

“Having good schools nearby is a must for many families thinking of moving.”

Dr. Nick Smith, Director of Oxford Home Schooling, said: “2020 has been an incredibly difficult year for many families, and some will be looking for a new beginning as we approach its conclusion.”

“A lot of people are moving houses, in part because of the Stamp Duty holiday, and families will have a lot to consider when choosing their new area.”

“Education will probably be a key factor, and some will carry over to certain areas of influence of the schools. For those who are considering such action, our research has highlighted local authorities offering quality education, affordable housing, and security for your family.”

Meanwhile, the worst places are Bristol in the South West, Enfield in London, and Leicester in the East Midlands.

Bristol scored low on all ranking factors, with few available school places (2%), relatively low Ofsted scores (78% of ‘Good’ or ‘Exceptional’), and a high crime rate: 113 incidents per 1,000 people.

A third (35%) of buyers are currently looking to move to a new area after closing.

Parents committed to their children’s education long for the best schools.

The education of their children is always a priority for most British parents. Now that the Coronavirus pandemic has affected the nation’s educational system so seriously, good schools have become an absolute necessity.

Although virtual classes have replaced face-to-face classes, it is expected that in the first quarter of 2021, everything will return to normal, and children will go to schools. However, this will largely depend on how the Coronavirus situation develops, the development of a vaccine, and the lifting of lockdown measures.

This will be a new challenge for parents and real estate developers who must take into account the growing need for good schools in the surroundings when building new real estate lots.

For their part, parents will have to make an effort to help their children in the necessary transition towards the “new normal” education.
