The housing market in Wales is active again
The authorities have announced that starting today, the housing market in Wales will be partially reopened; also that the home moves can be carried out as long as the property has been empty for at least 72 hours.
The people can move to properties that have already been agreed for their purchase, besides, the visit of properties is allowed again. On the other hand, property valuations, inspections, and surveys are allowed as long as social distancing protocols are followed.
“Wales is almost virus free.”
Mark Drakeford, Prime Minister of Wales, said: “The threat of coronavirus has not disappeared, but thanks to the efforts we have made in recent months, the number of people who get coronavirus every day in Wales is also decreasing, it is also the risk of meeting someone with a virus.”
“Given the progress we’ve made, we can take some additional cautious steps to further unlock our society and economy. This includes more retailers being able to reopen their businesses, provided they take steps to minimize the risk to their staff and to customers visiting their stores.”
“Our focus continues on the health risks of the outbreak, but we can now begin to focus much more cautiously on the broader economic and social impact the virus is having.”
“We have provided a great deal of support to businesses and jobs as they hibernated during the pandemic; now we are beginning to take these careful steps to restart our economy.”
Other European countries could also open their markets.
In the next few days, other European countries may decide to reopen their real estate markets. Germany, France, Spain, Portugal, and Italy are some of the candidates. However, everything will depend on the actions that their governments decide to take at this crucial stage of the pandemic.
This would help the economies of these countries begin to recover at a faster rate. The UK has provided a powerful example of how industries should be incentivized to encourage a full revival of the economy.
Meanwhile, citizens are anxiously waiting for the measures that were imposed at the start of the pandemic to be completely lifted.
Millions of people lost their jobs, and many others saw their lifestyles severely affected. The outlook is now more encouraging than experts anticipated and although several countries will not be able to return to normal until a vaccine has been developed, the first steps are being taken to accomplish this feat.
